Grace Faurote , Executive Director
Grace Faurote is the new Executive Director for Astral at Auburn, with an official start date of March 6, 2023. Prior to joining Astral, Grace was the Director of Support Services for Miller’s Merry Manor; an employee-owned senior rehabilitation center. Grace’s passion for senior healthcare started as a caretaker for her grandmother; who suffered from dementia. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant throughout her high school and college years. Grace earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Health from Purdue University, concentrating in Management and Policy. Grace’s focus on operations, patient care, customer service, and marketing and communications will complement the Astral at Auburn team members.

Leo Carrion, Director of Sales and Marketing
Leo Carrion, Director of Sales and Marketing, joined Astral at Auburn in mid-2022. Prior to joining Astral, Leo served as a Sales Director for NorthPointe Woods Senior Living in Michigan. Leo started out his sales career in the real estate market and has held various sales and marketing leadership roles for more than 20 years.

Leo graduated from Kellogg Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design. Leo has quickly earned the number one spot in Franciscan Ministries and FAS communities for the Director of Sales and Marketing statistics for sales achievement.

Merissa Treft, Business Office Manager

Merissa started her career in senior living in 2012. She initially worked as CNA, QMA before shifting from clinical to operations. Merissa attended Purdue Fort Wayne earning a BA in Psychology. Upon completion of her degree, she held several Assisted Living management roles over the past four years. Merissa has a strong background in Business Office and Human Resources which benefits the team and residents as they navigate into the community.

Outside the office, Merissa enjoys spending time with her husband Justin and their three young children. She also has a passion for baking and makes a very popular buttercream frosting for her specialty cakes which the team enjoy at every opportunity to celebrate!

Mike Bentley, Plant Ops Director

Mike was born and raised in Kendallville, Indiana before moving to Rome City, Indiana with his wife and two children. Mike earned his AS in Business Management from Indiana Tech. Mike has spent the last 15 years in facility maintenance between the housing authority and Senior Living communities. Astral at Auburn residents and staff will benefit from Mike’s strong understanding of Facilities Management and a willingness to go the extra mile when facing a challenge. Outside of the community, Mike enjoys listening to and playing music, High School Football, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his family, and motorcycles. Mike’s passion for music, sports, and fatherhood helps him to naturally connect with the residents and families while he ensures the community is beautiful and maintained for years to come.
